Calgary to Banff

 

Arrive at Calgary’s International Airport and board your transfer to the idyllic parkland town of Banff. Check into your hotel and take the rest of the day to explore the many unique shops, eateries and attractions around the village. Overnight in Banff.

              

Banff to Columbia Icefields & Parkway

DAY 2

Depart on your full-day sightseeing tour along the Icefield’s Parkway, including a stop at the incredible Columbia Icefield. The huge Columbia Glacier covers nearly 325 square kilometres and dominates the surrounding landscape. An Ice Explorer ride will take you onto the ancient Athabasca Glacier. Continue on to a picnic lunch along the North Saskatchewan River beneath Mt. Coleman. Return to Banff late in the afternoon to relax as the sun begins to set over the mountains. Overnight in Banff.

DAY 3

This full day is at leisure to discover what one of Canada’s most famous mountain resort towns has to offer. Perhaps arrange a wildlife tour to view the many unique large animals in their natural environments, or consider a guided hike along the myriad of trails, either beginning in the town itself or the nearby trailheads along the highway. Overnight in Banff.

              

Banff to Kamloops

DAY 4

Today you embark on the first day of your guided coach journey to Vancouver. Your coach picks you up at your hotel and you meet your guide and other members of your small touring group. The first stop of the day is at iconic Lake Louise where you will see the distant glacier reflecting off the turquoise waters. Continue on to traverse the twisting Spiral Tunnels before making stops by Glacier National Park for a picnic lunch and visit to Giant Cedars, The Last Spike historic site and, if time permits, a visit to a dairy farm. Arrive in Kamloops for the evening. Lunch included. Overnight in Kamloops.

              

Kamloops to Vancouver

DAY 5

Departing Kamloops, the road leads west as your guide reveals the history of the provincial interior and the modern and ancient cultures that live there. Delving into the majesty of the Cascade Mountain Range, the scenic route leads over the heights of the Coquihalla Summit and includes a stop in the village of Hope. Continue onward to cross the Coast Mountains and descend into Vancouver – the shining gem of the Pacific Coast. Breakfast included. Overnight in Vancouver.

              

Vancouver to Victoria Excursion

DAY 6

This full-day trip to Victoria begins with a cruise through the scenic Gulf Islands and includes a visit to the acclaimed Butchart Gardens. Afterwards continue to Victoria for a city sightseeing tour that encompasses Victoria’s stately homes and gardens as well as historic landmarks. You will see the University of Victoria and Beacon Hill Park and pass the Royal British Columbia Museum, Thunderbird Park, the Parliament Buildings and the exclusive homes of the Uplands and Oak Bay. Return to Vancouver in the early evening. Overnight in Vancouver.

              

Vancouver

DAY 7

Today is at leisure in Vancouver. Take some time and peruse the shops and restaurants of Robson Street, or perhaps visit Chinatown for a taste of Asian culture. A short trip to Stanley Park provides walkers with the ideal location to enjoy a casual stroll through the kilometres of pathways, while the aquarium always delights visitors with the antics of the friendly beluga whales. Overnight in Vancouver.

              

End of Package

DAY 8

Today your package comes to an end as you independently transfer to Vancouver International Airport for your flight home.
