This city is an intriguing blend of old world charm and modern features with the bustling Inner Harbour as its focal point. A full-day of sightseeing awaits you as we have included a 3-hour whale-watching excursion to search for Orca, seals, porpoises and other marine wildlife.

Black Bear Viewing

At low tide board a boat and speed along the lush coastline to the bear’s feeding grounds. When the tide goes out, the bears emerge from the forests and forage along the shores in search of their favourite food, rock crabs and other shellfish. On this 21⁄2 hour excursion you will have an ideal opportunity to view the bears in their natural habitat. Tofino itself is a mix of wide sandy beaches and old growth forests, fishing and sightseeing boats and casual eateries and eclectic fine dining – an ideal place to relax and enjoy nature’s playground.

Whale Watching

On this 21⁄2 hour excursion you’ll travel through the pristine waters of Clayoquat Sound to view the stunning scenery and wildlife. Pacific Gray whales are regular visitors from March to October with other marine wildlife sightings possible such as humpback whales, transient Orcas, seals, sea lions as well as birds including bald eagles.

Tofino/Ucluelet to Campbell River (290km)

Cross back to the eastern coast of Vancouver Island to Campbell River, famous for salmon fishing – it’s long been known as ‘The Salmon Capital of the World’. Check into the Comfort Inn & Suites for an overnight stay (all guests stay here).
