Arrive in Calgary / Banff
Arrive in Calgary and transfer by coach to the resort town of Banff, nestled in the Rocky Mountains, where you will check into your hotel for a three-night stay.
This morning enjoy a six-hour excursion that includes the Banff Gondola to the summit of Sulphur Mountain for exceptional views of the Bow Valley and six mountain ranges; a cruise on Lake Minnewanka; and scenic highlights which include Surprise Corner, the Hoodoos and Bow Falls. The rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure.
Lake Louise Sightseeing
Today you’ll enjoy an eight-hour ‘Mountain Lakes and Waterfalls’ excursion. Your first stop is at Johnston Canyon, then journey to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise, often known as the ‘jewel of the Rockies’. From there, cross the Great Divide, enter Yoho National Park and visit Takakkaw Falls and Kicking Horse Pass. Lunch included.
Another full day as you journey along the Icefields Parkway through the natural splendour of Banff and Jasper national parks. Spectacular glaciers, cascading waterfalls, turquoise lakes and colourful meadows dot this awe-inspiring landscape. The tour stops at the Columbia Icefield where you will venture, by Ice Explorer, onto the Athabasca Glacier.
Another day of exploration is ahead of you with the first stop at Maligne Canyon where 10,000 years of erosion have created a 49-metre- deep gorge. Then continue the drive past Medicine Lake before reaching Maligne Lake for a 90-minute interpretive boat cruise bound for the world-renowned, picture-postcard setting of Spirit Island. After the cruise, soak up the sights or perhaps enjoy a snack (not included) at the Lake Chalet.
Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops
This morning, transfer by coach (included) to the rail station and board the Rocky Mountaineer for their ‘Journey Through the Clouds’ route. You’ll travel past Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and follow the mighty Thompson River, which was explored by early fur traders, before reaching Kamloops. Transfer to a moderate class hotel which is arranged by Rocky Mountaineer. Breakfast and lunch included.
Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver
Today you will re-board the Rocky Mountaineer and continue on your journey, which today takes you through the Fraser Canyon and the fertile Fraser Valley. You will arrive in Vancouver in the late afternoon where you will be transferred (included) to your hotel for a three-night stay.
Included today is a ve-hour sightseeing tour, offering a fascinating look at Vancouver. Points of interest will include Robson Street, Chinatown, historic Gastown and Stanley Park. Then cross the Lions Gate Bridge for a visit to the Capilano Suspension Bridge in the north shore rainforest.
Day at Leisure
Today is a free day to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of Vancouver. We recommend visits to Granville Market, where the locals shop, and also the FlyOver Canada, a gently thrilling ride that shows you Canada from coast to coast. Perhaps you may prefer a day-visit to Victoria, where you can enjoy the world-famous Butchart Gardens? We can arrange that for you.
End of Arrangements
This morning your arrangements end upon check out from your Vancouver hotel. You will them be transferred (included) to Vancouver Airport in time to check in for your flight home.
